Giving Designer Surplus a Second Chance

SISU makes cushions from deadstock fabric — surplus rolls and offcuts from the interiors industry that would otherwise go to waste. Each one is cut and sewn in small batches in Amsterdam, filled generously with feather inserts, and finished by hand.

House Notes

Mindful by design

SISU is a small homeware studio in Amsterdam, making cushions from designer surplus fabric. We're on a mission to reduce waste in the interiors industry, one cushion at a time.

The fabrics

Heavyweight jacquards, ribbed velvets and woven geometrics, all rescued from designer surplus. Because every roll is limited, once a fabric sells out, it's gone for good.

Surplus rolls from the interiors industry, bought from EU suppliers and kept out of landfill.

ii.

Naturally limited

Each fabric run is finite. When a roll is used up, that design won’t be made again.
